Preface: this post is not technical. it will not be about a cool project. this will just be my thoughts about my life as i see it now, and as i've seen it before on this sinusoidal wave.

I got into programming at the age of around 10 years old. At 17 I discovered the world of cybersecurity which was when I made an account on HackTheBox (which i recently found i got locked out of xd) and would play some of the CTF challenges there. It was very fun for me, and it somehow even replaced gaming.

Unfortunately, a side effect of being so invested in your interests (or obsessions) is that it's very easy to couple your worth to it.

I guess a good thing to compare this to would be (and get ready for this because it's gonna sound like I don't go outside) like a kubernetes deployment.

Banking on a single interest fueling your will to get up every morning is like relying on a single pod to serve all of your traffic. It's not reliable, it will fail, and it's only a matter of time.

I want to build for myself a fault tolerant life. One that doesn't rely on a few things that could let me down. Otherwise I'll be at y=-1 of sin(x) too long and too often in my life.

And thus begins the journey of finding more stuff to do other than living in my terminal.
